Papatheodorou in 1793. Initially, it was the largest church in Spetses, until the church of the Three Spetsian Martyrs was built.<\/p>\n<p>The church has an impressive wooden carved iconostasis and an original belfry with a unique bell in the center of a triple arch. The pulpit, despoticum and epitaph are also carved in wood. The iconostasis stands out for the craftsmanship with which it is carved, presenting subjects from the Old Testament, while there are others with subjects from nature, such as flowers, trees and animals.<\/p>\n<p>Observing the iconostasis of the Holy Trinity and Saint Nicholas, it seems that they are from the same artist, as the same motifs are repeated on a different scale.<\/p>\n<p>The temple does not include frescoes, but has rich plaster decoration and many old portable icons with Renaissance influences, according to academician Sotiriou.
